Day 1

Istanbul:
Arrival, greeting and transfer to your hotel.

Accommodation:
Novotel Hotel (4*) for 2 nights.

Meal Plan:

Istanbul:
Morning visit of the Haghia Sophia,and the Spice Market. Then possibility of an optional cruise on the Bosphorus ($). In the afternoon visit of the Blue Mosque, with its six minarets, the Hippodrome, where political, cultural, and sport events took place during Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman times. You will end the day at the Grand Bazaar.

Istanbul - Ankara:
Morning visit of the Topkapi Palace, former residence of the Ottoman sultans, with its treasures and terraces overlooking the Marmara Sea, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn. In the afternoon drive to Ankara.

Ankara - Cappadocia:
Morning visit of the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations for its rich and unique collection from the Hittites and the others who went over this soil. Photo stop at the Mausoleum of Ataturk, father of modern Turkey. After lunch, continue to Cappadocia.

Cappadocia:
Early in the morning, optional excursion: hot air balloon ride over the magnificient landcape of Cappadocia ($). After breakfast, full day sightseeing tour of Cappadocia, beginning with the Goreme Valley, open-air museum with rock-cut churches, followed by a lecture on Turkish hand-made rugs at a handicraft center. In the afternoon, visit the Underground City, a multi-level labyrinth built for protection during invasions.

Cappadocia:
Morning departure to Soganli Valley for a visit of its rock-cut churches, followed by a barbecue lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Avcilar and Kilicar Valley with their old cave-dwellings and fairy chimneys. En route back to the hotel, photo stop at Uchisar and Pigeon Valley of the breathtaking landscape. Then optional ceremony of Whirling Dervishes ($).

Cappadocia - Konya - Pamukkale:
Departure for Konya. Visit of the Caravanserai, a hotel for merchants on the Silk Road during the thirteenth century. In Konya, visit the Museum of Mevlana, named after the mystic poet founder of the Sufi Order of the Whirling Dervishes. In the afternoon, continue to Pamukkale.

Pamukkale - Aphrodisia - Antalya:
In the morning, visit Pamukkale the unreal landscape of the so-called "Cotton Castle" area, famous for its white water terrace of limestone deposits filled with thermal waters. Then drive to Aphrodisias, the ancient site dedicated to Aphrodite. See its well-preserved Stadium, the Temple of Aphrodite, the Tetrapylon and the Theatre. Continue to Antalya Turkish Riviera.

Antalya - Aspendos - Kaleici - Antalya:
Morning visit of Aspendos the best preserved Roman theater of Asia Minor. En route to Antalya, learn about the tradition of jewellery-making by visiting one of the largest jewellers of Turkey. In the afternoon visit the picturesque street and old port of Kaleici. Then free time for swimming at Konyaalti beach.

Antalya - Dalaman:
Departure for Myra, where the finest Lycian rock tombs overlook the Roman Theater. In the afternoon, boat ride (if weather permits) until the Kekova Bay to discover the remains of a sunken city in the crystalline waters. Continue to Dalaman.

Dalaman - Ephesus - Kusadasi:
Morning departure to Selcuk. In the afternoon visit of the World Heritage site of Ephesus, one of the world's best places to experience an ancient Roman city. Explore the Marble Street, Agora, Odean and Theater. Admire the Fountain of Trajan, the Temple of Hadrian and the Library of Celsius. Visit the House of Virgin Mary. Then enjoy a short Turkish fashion show.

Kusadasi - Pergamum - Troy - Canakkale:
Morning departure for the ancient city of Pergamum, where the parchment was invented. See the Acropolis, ruins of the Agoras, temples, palace, the library and the impressive theatre, built on a steep hillside, provides a wonderful panorama of the surroundings. After lunch, depart for Troy, whose history covers a period of about 3,400 years. A reconstruction of the infamous Trojan Wooden Horse stands at the entrance of the site. Continuation to Canakkale.
